Battlegrounds
There are many places in the game where alliance players can fight against horde players but the most common place is in battlegrounds. There are four battlegrounds in the game (use the links below for further information about each).

Each battleground has different objectives and win conditions and each will match you up with players around your level. One reason for doing battlegrounds is of course for the fun of it but another reason is because they are a way to get good gear for your character. Meeting objectives in a battleground and killing enemy players will earn you honour. Additionally, winning a battleground will earn you three honour tokens for that particular battleground while 1 is received from being on a losing team. Your tokens and honour can then be used to purchase powerful weapons, armour and other gear which often has bonuses intended to help in PVP (player versus player) battles.
In battlegrounds teamwork is more important than individual effort but you can still see your individual score by clicking the button shown to the right next to your mini-map. An example of part of a score table (with one of our members up the top of course) is shown below. At any time in the game you can press H to see how much honour you have built up. Tip: some players save their honour and tokens until they are level 70 since pvp reward gear you get earlier than that will be quickly replaced as you go up levels. The best rewards are reserved for level 70.
